Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ក្តារចុចមោទនភាពខ្មែរ (“Khmer Pride Keyboard,” the “App”), published by Cheng Sokdara (“we,” “us”).
By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The service
Khmer Pride Keyboard is an Android system keyboard that helps you type Latin spellings and convert them into real Khmer words using an on-device dictionary and suggestion engine. Core typing features are available free of charge.
The free App’s host screens (Splash, and My Dictionary when it has at least one saved word) may show advertisements served through Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a bidding ad source on the mediated Dictionary unit. Ads are not shown on Setup, Tutorial, Settings, or on the keyboard while you type. Pro can be unlocked by installing the separate paid companion app Khmer Pride Keyboard Pro or by a one-time purchase inside the App; either removes host-app ads and unlocks Pro features. Optional voice typing is available up to 10 free sessions per day, with unlimited use during the 7-day Pro trial or with the voice-typing subscription.
Free daily typing, the bundled word list, and local My Dictionary remain available without Pro.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding agreement under the laws of your country. The App is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the App if you are not allowed to under applicable law.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal use, subject to these Terms and Google Play’s terms.
You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the App except as allowed by law, or use it to violate any law or third-party rights.
Accounts and cloud backup
You may optionally install Khmer Pride Keyboard Pro and sign in with Google to back up My Dictionary to your Google Drive App Data folder. Cloud backup runs in the Pro companion app when installed; when Pro was unlocked inside the free app (or your trial is active) and the companion is not installed, the free keyboard performs the same backup itself. You are responsible for your Google account and for any content you store in My Dictionary.
We do not host My Dictionary on our servers for this feature. Google’s terms and privacy policy also apply to Google Sign-In and Drive.
Purchases
Pro and unlimited voice typing are sold through Google Play: the paid companion app Khmer Pride Keyboard Pro, a one-time in-app Pro purchase, and a voice-typing subscription (monthly or yearly). Prices, taxes, refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled under Google Play’s policies. Cloud backup runs in the Pro companion app when installed; otherwise the free keyboard performs it directly for Pro users. Optional bank tips (if shown in the App) are voluntary support for development and never unlock Pro or paid features.
Advertising
Host-app ads are provided by third-party networks. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the ads they serve. Do not click ads in a way that is fraudulent or accidental on purpose. We may add or remove bidding networks; the Privacy Policy lists the networks that are actually in the App.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse the App, ads, Play, or related services
- Attempt unauthorized access to our or others’ systems
- Use the App to create or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
- Misrepresent the App’s branding or pass it off as another product
Intellectual property
The App name, branding, software, and bundled dictionary materials are owned by Cheng Sokdara or licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect; always review text before sending.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cheng Sokdara is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering the App or change features. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be noted on the App support site or in store listing updates.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
