KHmeter is a taximeter application provided by Cheng Sokdara. This policy explains how KHmeter accesses, uses, stores, and transmits information. KHmeter does not require an account and does not display advertising.
KHmeter uses precise location to show the current position, measure distance travelled, calculate fares, and draw a trip route. When you start a trip, KHmeter can use location in the background while the screen is locked or another app is visible so the meter can continue accurately. A persistent Android notification indicates when trip tracking is active and provides controls to pause, resume, or stop it.
Background tracking begins only after you start a trip and grant the required permissions. It stops when you end the trip. If background location is declined, metering can continue while KHmeter is visible and pauses when the app goes into the background. Location is not used for advertising.
Route coordinates, trip history, fares, tariffs, and preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your device. KHmeter does not send GPS route coordinates to Firebase Analytics. Completed-trip Analytics events contain only the fare, rounded distance, and standby duration.
KHmeter uses the following Google and Firebase services:
Advertising ID collection, ad storage, ad personalization, and ad user data are disabled in this release. KHmeter does not sell personal data. Google and Firebase process information as service providers under their applicable terms and privacy documentation.
Local trip history remains on your device until you delete it in KHmeter, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Active-trip recovery data is removed after a trip is completed. You can reset other local preferences by clearing app storage.
Information transmitted to Google and Firebase is retained according to the configured service settings and their published retention policies. KHmeter has no user accounts, so there is no KHmeter account to delete. Questions or requests about information controlled by the developer can be sent to the contact address below.
You may deny or revoke location and notification permissions in Android Settings. KHmeter cannot calculate a live trip without foreground location. Background location is needed only to continue a user-started trip while KHmeter is not visible.
KHmeter uses Android private app storage for local information and HTTPS encryption for information transmitted by Google and Firebase services. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
KHmeter is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
KHmeter contains links and embedded web pages operated by other parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
This policy may be updated when KHmeter's features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current published version.
